The Peterborough Figure
Skating Club is a registered club of Skate Canada. This ensures
that the programs offered, the skills developed, and the
instruction provided to our skaters all meet a specified standard
that is consistent across Canada. All of our coaches are certified
by Skate Canada through the 3M National Coaching Certification
Program (NCCP), and our coaches in turn train our amateur
volunteer Program Assistants to assist on the ice with instruction
for our CanSkate and CanSkate Advanced skaters.
Passion, Spirit, Triumph…
are the focuses of all of our programs. Many of the skills that
our children develop through the pursuit of skating are life
skills that will serve them well in any endeavor: dedication, hard
work, perseverance, sportsmanship, friendship, and success. The
Club develops skaters of all ages and abilities, from recreational
to competitive skaters, youngsters to adults. We are proud of all
of our skaters and strive to instill in them the love for the
sport of skating!
